In Novosibirsk, the delegation of the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia on Science and Education, headed by Chairman Olga Germanova, discussed cooperation with the leadership of the region and scientists. The delegation visited Novosibirsk State University and Akademgorodok, and then held a meeting at the Exhibition Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Deputy Governor Irina Manuilova said: "We are actively developing cooperation in IT and instrument making, as well as implementing about 30 projects in physical and technical and biotechnology. The most important area is the project of megascience Siberian Circular Photon Source "SKlF", where the BelSI laboratory station is being developed».
The event was attended by representatives of the Union State, ministries and scientific organizations. The issues of attracting young people to science, supporting young scientists and new joint projects were discussed. The possibilities of implementing the Mendeleev Map project in the Union State were also considered. The visit helped to strengthen integration in the scientific and educational sphere.
