Under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the XIII International Forum for Technological Development "Technoprom-2026", which will be held from 26 to 28 August in Novosibirsk, was held.

It was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrei Travnikov, Deputy Head of the United Russia faction, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government Sergei Morozov, General Director of the Russian Science Foundation Vladimir Bespalov, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Aldoshin, Acting Director of the Institute of Catalysis named after G.K. Boreskov Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS) Valery Bukhtiyarov, General Director of Autonomous Nonprofit Organization (ANO) "National Priorities" Sofia Malyavina and others.

"The number of participants in the Technoprom business program is growing annually. In 2025, more than 27 thousand people took part in the forum. This allows us to conclude that the site is important as a place for discussion and decision-making on key issues of the country's scientific and technological development. This year, the focus of the business program should be on the implementation of national technological leadership projects and the development of individual clusters of our industries. Our task is to focus scientific and technological resources on priority areas and set up management decisions to ensure the country's technological breakthrough", the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

This issue will also be discussed at a strategic session to improve the science management system under the leadership of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Based on its results, initiatives will be formed aimed at achieving technological leadership in priority sectors of the economy. According to Dmitry Chernyshenko, the business program of the Technoprom forum should continue them and answer key challenges.

The Deputy Prime Minister listed the issues that will be included in the agenda of the upcoming Technoprom forum. Among them: the formation of a new research infrastructure, the accelerated introduction of the results of research into the economy, an increase in investments in the field of science by the state and business, the involvement of talented youth in science, development of international scientific and technological cooperation and trade and economic ties.

Dmitry Chernyshenko also instructed to include in the business program a meeting with the leaders of the scientific and technological development of the regions, to collect proposals from the subjects on the agenda of the forum, to invite general engineers of universities to participate.

The head of the Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov noted that Technoprom has established itself as one of the significant events held within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology.

"Today we see that universities and scientific organizations are not only training highly qualified specialists, but are also transforming into the tasks of the country's technological sovereignty. The flagship program of the Ministry "Priority-2030" is also aimed at this, within the framework of which universities, together with business, are developing innovative products and technologies that are in demand by the market. I am sure that the forum platform will serve to further establish close contacts between representatives of the scientific community, engineers, inventors with the real sector of the economy", said the head of the Ministry of Education and Science.

In his report, Andrei Travnikov emphasized that the Technoprom program includes 8 tracks in its architecture.

The track "From Synchrotron to Enterprise: Megascience Class Installations" will be the basis of the business program. We are talking about how world-class installations - synchrotrons, neutron sources, accelerators - are becoming a working tool for industry. We plan to show specific examples of research at a mega-installation, as a result of which new materials, new drugs, new technological solutions in production appear. As part of the energy track, we will talk about renewable sources, new energy storage, smart energy networks. Participants of the track "Chemistry that creates the future" will discuss the creation of new substances with fundamentally different predetermined properties. We plan to present cases on how fundamental science becomes a source of the emergence of new materials, new technologies, new technological structures", said Andrei Travnikov.

Among the topics of other tracks - medicine, bioengineering, biosphere, microelectronics and instrument making, intelligent systems - the main content of this topic will be provided by the Sberbank conference "AI Journey" ("Journey into the world of artificial intelligence").
