SRF "SKIF" will reach full capacity in 2027. The Siberian Circular Photon Source "SKlF", located in the work settlement of Koltsovo, Novosibirsk Region, is preparing for a phased launch!
This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Forum of Future Technologies.
"This year, the technical launch of the Siberian Circular Photon Source will take place in Koltsovo, Novosibirsk. Very soon it will work at full capacity: in 2027, our scientists should get final access to the facility" stated the Head of State.
Key stages of project implementation: - 2026 - Technical start-up of the complex; debugging equipment and systems; - 2027 - Reaching design capacity and providing full access for scientific research.
SRF "SKIF" is one of the largest megascience installations in the world. After reaching full capacity, it will open up new opportunities for research in physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and materials science, strengthening Russia's position as a leader in advanced scientific technologies.
