Traditionally, the Forum is held within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology, declared by our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. As the Head of State emphasizes, today it is important to increase the role of science in solving the strategic tasks of Russia's development.

The Forum is becoming more and more popular: since 2022, the number of participants has nearly doubled – from 12,000 people from 19 countries to almost 20,000 delegates from 33 states last year.

The key theme of the 2026 Forum is: “Russian Science is the Foundation of Technological Leadership“. SRF "SKIF" will reach full capacity in 2027. The Siberian Circular Photon Source "SKlF", located in the work settlement of Koltsovo, Novosibirsk Region, is preparing for a phased launch!

This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Forum of Future Technologies.

"This year, the technical launch of the Siberian Circular Photon Source will take place in Koltsovo, Novosibirsk. Very soon it will work at full capacity: in 2027, our scientists should get final access to the facility" stated the Head of State.

Key stages of project implementation:
- 2026 - Technical start-up of the complex; debugging equipment and systems;
- 2027 - Reaching design capacity and providing full access for scientific research.

SRF "SKIF" is one of the largest megascience installations in the world. After reaching full capacity, it will open up new opportunities for research in physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and materials science, strengthening Russia's position as a leader in advanced scientific technologies.
