On September 20, VII International Forum and Exhibition of Technological Development TECHNOPROM-2019 ended. More than 90 activities took place as part of the business program. For the last seven years amount of activities has increased fivefold: this year there were 8,500 visitors from 25 countries. 257 representatives of the press from 126 mass media gave coverage to the Forum and exhibition. 23 cooperation agreements were signed in the press center of the Forum. 70 stands were presented at the exhibition with the same name.
Science of a New Era: Transformation Technologies
Main activity of the Forum was plenary session “Science of a New Era: Transformation Technologies” during whichclaimed that commercialization of science shall enhance its development.
At the meeting of the working group of the State Council of the Russian Federation in the sphere of “Education and Science” devoted to creation of RECs of international level Andrey Travnikov, Governor of Novosibirsk Region noted that in addition to the REC on the basis of SB RAS, one more center, namely, medical, is required in Novosibirsk.
Anatoly Lokot, Mayor of Novosibirsk at the plenary discussion “Smart city” where participants discussed conditions for creation of comfortable environments said that city infrastructure requires the uniform system of “smart” technologies. Within the scope of the discussion Rosinvest and Surdofon companies signed an agreement on development of technology for persons with impaired hearing that shall be implemented at the public transport stops.
Problems and Solutions
At the breakfast meeting of Andrey Travnikov, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region with the representatives of the banking sector, consulting agencies, federal and regional executive bodies, technology companies and startups a voting was held during which participants were choosing the most actual problems that restrain technological development of the country. Majority of the participants noted this option “Insufficient interest in innovations from representatives of real sector of economy”.
Participants of Siberian Venture Fair offered a discussion on development of Russian venture market at the strategic session “Hidden Champions on TechNet NTI Markets in Russia: Reality, Challenges, Prospects”. Levan Tatunashvili, Deputy General Director of Novosibirsk Academpark said that investors need protection mechanisms to be interested in venture funds.
Within the scope of the Forum, an informal meeting between the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, Andrey Travnikov and members of regional Council of Rectors was held. At the meeting the Head of the region reported that the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation plans to increase quotas for state-funded places in the Siberian universities.
Discussion “Siberia-Chennai: Open Dialogue on Cooperation in Innovations” was held in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Indian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IRCCI) with participation of Parimanam Tangappan, Secretary General who claimed that first of all India is in a need for technology for production of nanomaterials that can could be used in different areas.
At the plenary session “Business without Borders. Cultural and Technical Code of Russia-China Space” an official opening ceremony of Russian-Chinese business incubator for young people was held. Representatives from Russian and Chinese companies, public organizations and students of Novosibirsk universities took part in this activity.
Representatives of the Chinese delegation answered to the questions of Novosibirsk students. Most popular question: “What do you need to know in order to build successful partnership with a Chinese entrepreneur?” “In China this question can be easily answered. You need to be an honest person,”, General Director, LLC Technological Intellectual Company Taoxixi said.
Innovations: From Idea to Commercialization
Within the scope of TECHNOPROM-2019 the exhibition operated and its area was 2,000 m2 70 exhibiting companies took part in it. These companies presented innovative developments that were recently implemented and those innovations that already successfully operate and bring profit to companies.
Agreements: Partnership of Business and State
23 cooperation agreements were signed at the TECHNOPROM-2019. Most of them were issued within the scope of public-private partnership including five agreements with the participation of Andrey Travnikov, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region.
Thus, the Head of the region signed a document with Andrey Shishkovsky, Director for Regional Development, Megafon according to which the communication service provider plans to invest RUB 4.5 bln in creation of data processing centers in Novosibirsk.
Governor signed one more agreement with Aleksey Vorotnikov, General Director, LLC Transchimexport. Company plans to improve grain elevator and build an oil-extraction plant in the Novosibirsk Region.
Moreover, signing ceremony for agreements between JSC Regionalnye Electricheskie Seti and PJSC Rostelecom, Investment Development Agency of the Novosibirsk Region and Sberbank, universities, SB RAS and other participants were held at the Forum.
To Dream and to Set Big Targets
TECHNOPROM-2019 International Forum ended with a plenary session with the topic “Talents and Opportunities”. Representatives of business, state structures, scientists and winners of various school skill competitions discussed whether the talent has opportunities and whether it is possible to find opportunities without talent.
Gennadiy Sapozhnikov, Advisor to the Chairman, SB RAS, wished to all those present, most of them being schoolers and lyceum students to dream and set big targets.
“Dream! The higher you aim, the higher you shall get! Live and be yourselves. And remember that there is always time factor. (...) Victory does not wait for those who linger. I like this saying: If you do not make mistakes then you solve tasks that are too easy for you, and it is a big mistake. We have serious objectives and we hope in their realization,” Gennadiy Sapozhnikov said.

During the round table called “How to Bring Scientific and Educational Centers to International Level”, Deputy Director of Public Scientific, Scientific and Technical and Innovation Policy Department of the Ministry Andrey Anikeyev informed that the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation plans to present development programs of the first five Russian scientific and education centers in Europe and Japan.More details
