TECHNOPROM 2013

On November 14 - 15, 2013, the Government of the Russian Federation is sponsoring the Technoprom-2013 First International Technological Development Forum in Novosibirsk. The Forum is dedicated to assuring that the Russian economy is a global technological leader in the framework of the Sixth Technological Revolution.

Representatives of science, business and the State, as well as international experts and technology investors will discuss priorities for developing critical technologies for the Russian Federation. While working in the brainstorming format, the forum participants will answer questions regarding measures to stimulate the demand for innovative technologies, and the creation of new markets and high-technology industries. A discussion is also planned regarding the best practices for creating global and regional infrastructure for technological development.

The TECHNOPROM International Technological Development Forum is focused on the tasks defined in the inaugural decrees of the President of the Russian Federation from May 7, 2012. Therefore, the results of the Forum will be used to prepare a report to the President of the Russian Federation concerning measures to ensure the technological leadership of the Russian economy, as well as recommendations to the Government of the Russian Federation of how to implement such measures into Russian Federation State programs.

The location of the Technoprom-2013 First International Technological Development Forum was selected because of Novosibirsk's unique geographical location and academic traditions, as of one of the largest scientific centers of Russia. The city has a history of military-industrial achievements, high business and cultural potential, and rich experience hosting major congressional events and exhibitions.

The main partners of the Forum are the Government of the Russian Federation, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Advanced Research Foundation of the Russian Federation, the Agency of Strategic Initiatives for the Promotion of New Projects, the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, and the Association of Technical Universities.
